Obituary for Harry "Bink" Johnson
Harry “Bink” Thomas Johnson, 75, of Belton, S.C., went to be with his Lord Jesus, and his wife and two sons, on February 25, 2023.
He is survived by his grandson, Spencer Johnson, daughter-in-law, Misty Johnson, brother, John Johnson, sisters, Sallie Elgin (Jimmy), Karen Keeney, and Delorie “Dot” Haynie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ether McDonald Johnson, his wife, Judy Johnson, his sons, Scott and Ken Johnson, and siblings; Frank “Bud” Johnson, Sam Johnson (Linda), Betty Singleton, Virginia Phillips, Sue Holmes, and Lander “L.C.” Johnson.
He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran and a retired mechanic from BASF. He was of the Baptist Christian Faith and attended Belton Second Baptist Church prior to his illness.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his animals.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Pastor David Hudgens will officiate.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm.
A committal service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, March 20, 2023, at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Air Force.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Hagee Ministries, or the Greenville Humane Society.
