Obituary for Harold Northway
(Harold Northway) Harold Lewis Northway, 76, husband of Patricia Elaine Owens Northway, of Piedmont, died Friday, February 5, 2021 at Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C.
Born in Saco, Maine on August 21, 1944, he was a son of the late Ralph Lewis Northway and the late Ruth Tripp Northway.
Harold served in the U.S. Navy and then started a career at Bellsouth that span over 40 years. He loved spending time with his family at his lake house on Hartwell Lake. He enjoyed anything to do with the lake and its surroundings. He especially loved boat rides, jet skiing, and water skiing. When he wasn’t on the lake, he could be found woodworking. He was skilled in wood lathing.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Elaine Owens Northway, his children, Leroy Feltman Jr. (Donna), Kelly Krimbill (Michael), and James Feltman, grandchildren, Andrew Feltman (Samantha Britt), Chris Feltman (Elizabeth), Thomas Hatley (Carrie), Jessica Hawthorne (Derek Kellett), Amanda King (Nathan), Michael Clark (Crystal), Alton Kay (Tiffany), William Kay (Tasha) and Brittany Martin, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, Charlie Northway (Alma), Jimmy Northway (Pauline), Cynthia Radd, Laura Gilstrap (Earl), and Linda Heaton (Jimmy), and a brother-in-law, Paul Zebin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Zebin.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11:00am in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625. Pastor Robert Griswold will officiate.
The family will speak to attendees following the service.
