June 12, 1933 – July 12, 2022
Grace Ree Shaw Findley, 89, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at her home.
Born on June 12, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Columbus “Lum” Shaw and the late Rose Lee Crocker Shaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Findley, and siblings: Alvin Shaw, Frank Shaw, Daisy Hickman, Florine White, & Mary Cain.
She is survived by her daughters: Sherry Findley Wood, Linda Findley Gunter (Bobby), Angie Findley Chapman (Dennis) & Tammy Findley Ifversen. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Chasity Wood, Connie Michelle Wood Bryson (Tim), Melissa Chapman Balch (Stephen), Andrew Lee Allen, James Allen & Ronnie Gunter as well as great-grandchildren: Austin Knight, Joshua Reed, Chase Reed, Ashton Welborn, Zac Welborn, Olivia Grace Balch, Carter Allen, Bryan Allen & Ashley Hills.
Grace spent 26 years at Orr Lyons Mill as a Spooler and then retired from Westside High School in Environmental Services. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 6116 Highway 81 S, Starr, SC 29684. Rev. Sam Duncan will officiate. Burial to follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, at the church, beginning at 12:30pm.
