Lee Gaillard
May 20, 1958 – May 5, 2023
Gordon Lee Gaillard, 64, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, after battling Alzheimer’s disease.
Born on May 20, 1958, he was the son of Jessie Lewis Gaillard and the late Lamar Gaillard.
Lee was a graduate of Wren High School and later attended Clemson University where he studied Business Management.
After graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Business, he was employed as Vice-President of Gaillard, Inc. for many years before his symptoms began.
In 1990, Lee married Cheryl Barnes Gaillard, and they welcomed their two children, Anna Grace Gaillard and Brady Lee Gaillard.
Lee accepted Christ at a young age attended several Baptist churches throughout his life. He attended Pope Drive Baptist Church along with his family for most of his adult life.
He loved Clemson University and spent many days sharing his love by taking his children to football games or just spending time around campus. He was very proud of being a graduate of Clemson.
In addition to his wife and children, he is also survived by his mother, Jessie Gaillard.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses, assistants, and chaplains at Hospice of the Upstate for all their love and compassion shown over the past five months. This love and care can only be compared to the love of Christ, and they made his last days so very special.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Dr. Bryan Cribb will officiate, and interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 5600 State Highway 81, Williamston, SC 29697.
Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00 pm in The Maple Room of The Standard.
