Obituary for George Ann Nash
George Ann Nash, 79, wife of Dan Nash of Anderson, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Bonny Blue, VA on August 18, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Armstrong Duncan Sr. and the late Mary George Galbraith Duncan.
George Ann was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and gardening as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Nash, daughter, Tonya Frare (Brad), son, Alex Nash, grandchildren, Erin Best (Danny), Ryan Sullivan and Andrea Nash, and her great-grandchildren, Finley Best, Sullivan Best, and Nash Biddle.
She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jo Reed (Bob) and her brother, John D. Duncan (Linda).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Trooper Jon Nash (S.C.H.P – E.O.W 09/19/09) and her brother, Tom Duncan Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 2:00pm at Temple Baptist Church 2905 Standridge Rd. Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Dr. Steve Hurte will officiate. A burial will take place at a later date at Susie Chapel Cemetery, Huntington W.V.
The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary 1 hour prior to the memorial service.
Social distancing and face masks are encouraged.
