Obituary for Gail Ellington
(Gail Ellington) Gail Dean Ellington, 71, wife of Mike Ellington of Simpsonville, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
Born in Anderson on June 20, 1949, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” Dean and the late Dorothy “Dot” Finley Dean.
Gail was a retired bookkeeper/accountant with several Anderson and Greenville area law firms and advertisement agencies and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike Ellington, daughter, Amanda Kyzer (Richard), grandson, Will Kyzer and sisters, Linda McCoy and Paulette Henley (Sam).
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Heather Jones (Jason), David Henley, and her beloved Dachshund, Brandi.
Gail loved her pets tremendously and was preceded in death by her beloved Dachshunds - Peanut, Punkins, Cocoa, Graci and her Basset Hound, Patch.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00am in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, S.C. 29625. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, starting 1 hour prior to the funeral.
