Obituary for Frank E. Friddle Sr.
(Frank E. Friddle Sr.) Franklin Eugene Friddle Sr, 93, of Honea Path, S.C., died Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Greenville, on January 31, 1929, he was a son of the late William Dewey Friddle Sr., and the late Ida Napier Friddle.
Frank was the former Director of Orthotics at The Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville, where he made countless impacts on the lives of children throughout the United States and beyond. He was also the founder of Friddle’s Orthopedic Appliances Inc., in Honea Path and Anderson. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Honea Path. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corp, where he was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
He is survived by his former wife, Sydney Friddle, sons, Frank Friddle Jr. (Sandra), Reed Friddle (Angie), daughters, Treci Williams, and Kelli Holly (Steve), nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Mary Friddle Grant.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Rachel Garrison Friddle, and brother, W.D. “Dewey” Friddle Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 101 S. Main St., Honea Path, S.C. 29654. Rev. Gayle Beaudrot will officiate. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 12300 Belton Honea Path Highway, Honea Path, S.C. 29654.
