Carolyn Hyder
October 4, 1934 - August 8, 2022
Frances Carolyn Hyder, 87, passed away at Hospice of the Upstate on Monday, August 8, 2022, due to complications of cancer.
Carolyn was the daughter of the late Luther Marvin Entrekin and the late Ella Mae Pressley Entrekin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Gladstone Hyder.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Youngblood Ham (Jon), her grandson, Michael Chase Payne (Anna), great granddaughters, Margaret Palmer Payne & Finley Claire Payne, all of Daniel Island, SC. She is also survived by a sister, Margaret Reynolds of Augusta, GA; a sister, Sybil Bowman of Anderson, SC; and a brother, Bill Entrekin of Trion, GA.
Carolyn was a retired banker of 40 years and was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Boulevard Baptist Church, 700 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00pm at the church. Rev. Dr. Austin Carty will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boulevard Baptist Church or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
