Obituary for Eunice Garner
Eunice Clara Welch Garner, 88, of Anderson, SC passed away at AnMed Health Medical
Center on March 17, 2021.
Eunice was the daughter of William Vance Welch and Roxie Hughes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Floyd Garner,
her sisters; Helen Fricks, Mildred Broderick, Fran Davis, and Brenda Bates; her brothers: Bill
Welch and Danny Hughes, and her daughters; Kathy Cromer and Judy Garner.
She is survived by her brother, Vance Welch, her son, Michael Garner, and her daughters, Sue
Shaw and Donna Medlin, along with her 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and her 1
great-great granddaughter.
Eunice devoted her life to raising her children and being a devoted Christian. She enjoyed being
the chatterbox of the bunch and reminiscing with her children and grandchildren. She always
loved surprise visitors at the house, along with her Mama Penn’s for dinner. She will be deeply
missed by those that she loved and poured into during her life.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 22, 2021 in The Maple Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center with burial at South Lawn Memorial Gardens to follow. Pastor Brent Lollis will officiate.
