Eddy “Benny” McIntyre
March 7, 1953- May 25, 2022
Benny McIntyre, 69, of Anderson, died Wednesday May 25, 2022, at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Otis C. McIntyre, and the late Eddie Ruth McIntyre.
Benny was a “Jack of All Trades”, and was known for his abilities, as a handy man. He was an electrician at Foundry and Steel for over 20 years. He was hardworking and would always do anything he could to help those around him. Benny loved to fish, listen to bluegrass music, and enjoyed water sports, especially water skiing. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
Benny is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cathy McIntyre, along with their daughter Katelyn Guthrie, and her husband, Adam Guthrie. He is also survived by his brothers, Pete McIntyre (Bess), Mark McIntyre, and his sister, Terry Green (Deceased, Phil)
Benny is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Dianne Vickery (Deceased, Ray), Gail Wells (Jerry), and Patricia Ragsdale (Gary), along with his brothers-in-law, Mike Barbare, and Don Barbare (Gail), and 18 nieces and nephews.
Along with parents, Benny was preceded in death by his Mother-in-law, Helen H. Madden.
