Eddie "Gene" McCoy
June 21, 1945 - May 18, 2022
Eddie Eugene McCoy, 76, husband of Gail Barnes McCoy, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Eddie was a son of the late Julius Andrew McCoy and the late Mattie Euella Sisk McCoy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Douglas, Julius, Jr. & William "Bo" and sister, Fannie Crane.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Eric McCoy (Karen) of Simpsonville, SC, daughter, Valerie Powell (Mark) of Easley, SC, grandchildren: Kirsten Jenkins, Kameron McCoy (Logan), Kyle McCoy (Autumn), Kobe Powell, Kenleigh Powell & Karson Powell and great-grandchildren: Kaden, Khristian & Karissa Jenkins and Knox McCoy. Eddie was also survived by his sister, Jennie Faye Butler of Washington, GA.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625.
Visitation will be held prior to the service in The Maple Room of The Standard from 2:00-3:00pm.
