Obituary for Dustin Phillips

(Dustin Phillips) Dustin Michael Phillips, 27, of Iva, died Sunday, October 18, 2020.

Born in Anderson on August 28, 1993, he is the son of Bobby Ray and Lisa Phillips.

Dustin was a 2012 graduate of Crescent High School and was a heavy equipment operator with Seawright Construction Company. He was a volunteer fireman with Grove Fire Department in Iva and loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his parents, Bobby Ray and Lisa Brown Phillips, his birth mother, Wanda Brown Elgin, his daughters, Mylah Drake Phillips and Ellaire Kylah Phillips, brothers, Brandon Phillips, Christopher Simpson, and Cody Simpson and sister, Kelsey Davis. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents Doug and Sue Brown, his paternal grandmother Martha Phillips and his special brother and sister, Campbell Farrow and Elizabeth Jarrard as well as many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kyle Deven Simpson and his grandfather, Charles Phillips.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Fred Griggs will officiate. Burial will follow on his family property, 501 Warren Watt Rd in Iva.

The family will receive friends in The Maple Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

Social distancing is to be observed and face masks are recommended at all events.
