Doug Haning
August 27, 1961 – March 26, 2023
Douglas Aaron Haning, 61, husband of Jessica Johnson Haning, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at his home.
Born on August 27, 1961, he was a son of James Fred Haning, Sr. and the late Betty Jane Owens Haning.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Roger Johnson.
Doug was a faithful employee with Brookdale Senior Living as a Regional Maintenance Director over several of their facilities in both South Carolina and Georgia. He was well-loved in the Brookdale community and will be missed by everyone.
Along with his wife and father, he is survived by his sons, Ryan Haning (Shelley), Brett Haning (Jessi), Nick Haning & Matthew Heath, daughter, Ashley Cole (Michael) and grandsons, Hunter, Chandler & Brooks.
He is also survived by his siblings, James Fred “Jimmy” Haning, Jr. (Lynn), Wanda Lindsay (John), Donna Williams (Mike) & Daysa Lewis (Craig) as well as several nieces, nephews & great nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 on Friday, March 31, 2023, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. James Fred “Trey” Haning, III, will officiate.
Visitation will be held prior to the service in The Maple Room of The Standard from 2:00-4:00 pm.
