Obituary for Dorothy Hickman
(Dorothy Hickman) Dorothy Jordan Hickman, 91, wife of the late Haskell Hickman, of Williamston, S.C., went to her eternal home, on Monday, February 13, 2023.
Born in Anderson, on November 23, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Jordan and the late Effie Mae Kinsey Jordan.
Dorothy was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Williamston, and was the retired owner/operator of Hickman’s Restaurant in the Eastview Community of Pelzer.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Wells Drake (Ben), son, Terry L. Wells (Georgeanne), grandchildren; Tracie Wells Brown (Tony), Alison Drake Panceroff (Eric), and T.J. Wells (Tamara), and great-grandchildren, Peyton Real, Zachary Brown, Amelia Wells, and Caden Panceroff.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Catherine Jordan Gilmer, Leon Jordan, Margie Jordan Wood, Martha Jordan Brooks, and Dennis L. Jordan.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:15pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in The Maple Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Robbie Robertson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either, Trinity Baptist Church, 324 Belton Dr., Williamston, S.C. 29697, or to Interim Hospice, 100 Verdae Blvd., Suite 200, Greenville, S.C. 29607.
