Doris Louise Walters, 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born February 28, 1940, in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Helen Westbrook.
Doris was a veteran of the United States Air Force. She was a member of South Pointe Baptist Church and a volunteer at AnMed Health Medical Center. She loved running, reading, making jewelry, tending to her flowers, caring for her dog and watching the leaves turn.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Walters (Brenda) of Gladstone, ND, and Christopher Walters (Cindy) of Weston, WV. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Joel Walters (Laura), Leah Knight (Jason), Seth Walters, Erin Walters & Jordan Walters and great-grandchildren: Milly Knight & Lemuel Knight.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, her sister, Ruth, and her brother, Lee.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Pastor David Neal will officiate. Burial will follow at Nancy Hart Memorial Park in Hartwell, GA.
Visitation will be held in The Maple Room of The Standard prior to the service from 10:00am-11:00am.
