Obituary for Doris Smith
(Doris Smith) Doris Senna Smith, 84, wife of the late Earle M. Smith, of Starr, S.C., died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 5, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Charles Senna and the late Doris Burch Senna.
Doris was a homemaker and loved planting her vegetable garden. She enjoyed making homemade crafts and traveling any time she had the opportunity.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Smith (Greg Gilbert), her step-grandchildren; Eddy, Michael, Renee, Breana and Phillip Boris, and her great-grandson, Trey Marrone.
She is also survived by her brothers, Robert “Bobby” Senna and Junior Senna, and her nephew, Robby Senna.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Vincent Marrone, her stepsons, Marshall and Ronnie Boris, her grandsons, Derrick Marrone, and Shawn Marrone and her sister, Elsie Parker.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on Friday, July 29, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Rev. Sam Duncan will officiate, and burial will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service, from 12:30pm – 2:00pm.
