Obituary for Doris Pickron
Doris Pickron, 87, wife of R.E. Pickron, of Anderson, died Monday, April 4, 2022, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Anderson, on February 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Chastain and the late Elizabeth Huckaby Chastain.
Doris was a retired dental hygienist with several Anderson area dental practices, and was a long-time, faithful member of Forest Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, R.E. Pickron Jr., her son, R.E. “Ree” Pickron III (Kristal), and her granddaughter, Kaleigh Pickron.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Edwin “Doodle” Chastain, Earle Chastain, and C.M. “Sonny” Chastain.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Tom Owen will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of The Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29621.
