Obituary for Donnie Bryant
(Donnie Bryant) Donnie Ralph Bryant, 77, husband of Kay Bryant of Anderson, died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Anderson on March 6, 1943, he was a son of the late L C Bryant and the late Montez Rebecca Smith Bryant.
Donnie spent several years with Sullivan Hardware before retiring from Electrolux as a purchasing agent. He was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kay Johnson Bryant, son, Chad Bryant, daughter, Kelli Sosebee (Brandon), grandchildren, Michael Burdette, Kayla Bryant and Dylan Bryant and great-grandchildren, Willow Burdette, Teagan Burdette and Isabella Bryant.
He is also survived by his brothers, Larry Bryant (Pat) and Eddie Bryant (Joyce).
A funeral service, with military honors by the U.S. Navy, will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625. Burial will follow at a later date at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 11:30am – 1:00pm.
Social distancing is to be observed and face masks are required at all events.
