Obituary for Donna Harrison

Donna Harrison
February 11, 1961 - November 21, 2020

Donna Fowler Harrison, 59, died November 21, 2020, at her home in Townville, SC, with family by her side.

Donna worked for Clemson-based radio station, WCCP The Roar, but for many years she was most well-known as KC Carson at Rock 101 WROQ in Greenville. After 25 years, she retired KC Carson and spent several years as a professional wedding photographer and amateur nature photographer. She also worked at Miracle Hill's Renewal for Women residential facility. Then, radio pulled her back in, but working behind-the-scenes this time, at WCCP. Donna enjoyed geocaching, painting, fishing with her husband, and serving at her church, Artisan Fellowship in Anderson. She found joy in the little things, and anything she did, no matter the occupation or service, she did with her whole heart.

Donna, a daughter of the late Donald Martin Fowler and the late Shirley Cochran Fowler, is survived by her husband, Russ Harrison; Bob and Pam Fowler, (brother and sister-in-law), Katie and Timothy Joner, (daughter and son-in-law), Whitney and Ashley Pund (son and daughter-in-law), Joseph and Sara Harrison (step-son and daughter-in-law) and eight grandchildren that she absolutely adored: Sydney Harrison, Adelaide Joner, Alex Pund, Zoey Harrison, Laci Pund, Foster Pund, Sara Ella Pund and Jack Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SC Ovarian Cancer Foundation, 110-B Edinburgh Ct., Greenville, SC 29607 or WCCP's Tiger for Tatas partnership with Dabo's All In Team Foundation, P.O. Box 1585, Clemson, SC 29633.

Ladies, early ovarian cancer is not always detected during a pelvic exam, and early symptoms are often overlooked. Educate yourself on the symptoms of ovarian cancer, discuss them with your doctor, and request additional testing (TVUS or CA-125). Earlier detection can save your life.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.
