Obituary for Delree Stamps
(Delree Stamps) Delree Wilson Stamps, 87, of Anderson, wife of the late Gene Stamps, died March 20, 2021 at Anmed Health Medical Center.
Born on March 25, 1933, she was a daughter of the late John Asbury Wilson and the late Gladys Lawton Wilson.
Delree was a lifelong member of The Pentecostal Church and served in many Anderson area Pentecostal Holiness churches. She was in retail sales for many years and ultimately retired from Newton’s Shoes after nearly 30 years of service.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Stamps, Terry Stamps and Rodney Stamps (Gloria), grandchildren, April Stone (Trevis), Patricia Burdick, Alicia Burdick and Christina Stamps, and great-grandchildren, Zachary Stamps, Emmalou Stone, Amanda Stone, Jazmine Lee, Kayson Moss, Cecelia Reed and Tye Reed.
She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Harbin.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was proceeded in death by her brothers, Frazier Wilson and Donald Wilson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 11:00 in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd. Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Brandon McGuire, and Rev. Sammy Scott will officiate.
The family will speak to attendees following the service.
