Obituary for Deborah "Debe" Hambright
(Deborah Hambright) Deborah McCraw Hambright, 69, wife of Joe Lawrence Hambright Jr., of Anderson, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at her home.
Born in Gaffney, S.C., on August 4, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Wayne McCraw, and the late Phillis Ilene Clary McCraw.
For over 28 years, Deborah worked as an Administrative Assistant with the South Carolina Department of Transportation. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she attended the Rainbow Sunday School class.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe Lawrence Hambright Jr., and her children, Jill Hambright Southerland (Jerri Ison), and Joe Lawrence Hambright III (Misty), as well as her grandchildren; Luke Michael Southerland, Aiden Christopher Bishop, and Wyatt Sawyer.
She is also survived by her stepmother, Martha Putnam McCraw and her half-brother, Jason Wayne McCraw.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm, on Friday, July 22, 2022, at New Prospect Baptist Church, 2503 Whitehall Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625. Rev. Drew Gunter will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends, in the church sanctuary, prior to the service, from 3:00pm – 4:00pm.
