Obituary for Dr. Daniel McConnell
Dr. Daniel Lee McConnell, 78, of Anderson died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Knoxville, TN on August 17, 1942, he was a son of the late Daniel D. McConnell and the late Lou Neva DeVault McConnell.
He was a 1962 honor graduate of Anderson Boy's High School and went on to earn his Masters and Doctorate degrees from Mississippi State University.
He loved classical music and expounding on most any topic, especially relating to history. He was a Perry Mason aficionado.
Dr. McConnell taught briefly at Tri County Technical College and Anderson College. He ultimately retired from the Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Jim McCullough and a brother Robert McConnell (Deborah).
He is also survived by his nephew Eddie McConnell (Amanda), and his dog Nina.
