(Cindy Wilson) Cynthia Hanks Wilson, 64, wife of Joey Wilson of Anderson, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at The Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Anderson, on May 11, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Martha Hanks.

She retired from DHEC and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Joey Wilson, daughter, Krystal Wilson Hayes (Chuck), son, Wesley Wilson (Tanya), and grandchildren; Lauren & Alex Hayes, Branyon Ricketts, Tanner Wooten, McKenzie Wilson, and Easton Wilson.

She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Hanks (Leisa), and her sister, Sharon Wilson (Dane).

A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Hopewell Baptist Church, 3530 Hopewell Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29621. Rev. Dalton Fowler will officiate, and the family will receive friends following the service.

The family is at the home of her son, Wesley Wilson, 706 Good Hope Church Rd., Starr, S.C. 29684.
