Obituary for Bill Butler

(Bill Butler) Claude Cornelius “Bill” Butler Jr., 47, the late husband of Shannon Sue Butler, of Anderson, died Saturday, September 24, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Greenville, S.C., on September 21, 1975, he was a son of the late Claude Cornelius Butler Sr., and Annie Allman, and moved to the Anderson area at the age of 17.

He was a 1997 graduate of Pendleton High School in Pendleton, S.C., and was an employee of Nutra Manufacturing on Liberty Hwy, where he has worked for over 15 years. He was a huge Florida Gators and Atlanta Falcons fan and loved bowling.

He is survived his wife, Shannon Butler of the home, mother, Annie Allman and her husband, Bobbie Joe Allman, brothers, Clifton Butler (Sin-quetta Sullivan), Kenneth Cole, and Mark Anthony Hagood, all of Greenville, S.C., sisters, Vickie Layondra Butler of Greenville, S.C, and Neat Haynetha Butler of Atlanta, Ga., as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is also survived by his step-children, Courtney Hallett of Geneva, NE, Callie Hallett of Sutton, NE, and Corbyn Hallett of Geneva, NE, and a step-grandchild, Charlee Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, on Thursday, September 29, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, S.C. 29625.

The family will receive friends, at The Standard, prior to the service, from 12:30pm – 2:00pm.
