Charles David Crowe, 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away in his home on December 21, 2020, after a prolonged illness.
Charles was the son of the late B.D. Crowe and the late Floynell Crowe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reatha Crowe, and his sister, Mildred Owens.
He is survived by his children; Janice Crowe Johnson, Charles David Crowe, II, Jeffery Kyle Crowe and Autum Nicole "Nicki" Crowe, his sisters; Carol Crowe Martin and Sue Crowe Wardlaw as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Charles proudly served in the US Army for 9 years. After returning home, he served his community as a police officer and as an Anderson City Councilman. He later started his own private security company, Crowe's Inc., providing uniformed officers for many of the state's educational facilities.
A memorial service will be held on January 8, 2021, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. The family will receive visitors 30 minutes prior to the service in The Maple Room.
