Obituary for Charles Ray Brock
IVA, S.C. Charles Ray Brock, 84, husband of Ann Brock of Iva, died Saturday, May 28, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Anderson, on March 16, 1938, he was a son of the late Joe Anderson Brock and the late Ruby Pauline Flemmings Brock.
He served 8 years in the National Guard and retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas after 40 years of service. He was a member of Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church in Starr where he formerly served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was an avid vegetable gardener and loved playing cards.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann Hayes Brock, his sons, Scott and Kenneth Ray Brock, his daughter, Tracy Cleveland (Brian), his grandchildren; Chase Cleveland (Meagan), Kylan Cleveland (Sarah), Halee Cleveland, and Rayn Dove, his great-grandchildren; Piper Cleveland, Briggs Cleveland, and Hayes Cleveland, and his brother, Larry Brock.
He is also survived by his special relative, Cade Rutledge.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donnie Brock.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30pm, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Union Baptist Church, 703 Barnes Station Rd., Iva, S.C. 29655. Rev. Charles Howell will officiate, and burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, at the church, prior to the service, from 2:30pm-3:30pm.
