Carolyn B. Mayfield
July 27, 1929 – November 4, 2022
Carolyn Bryant Mayfield, 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away at the Rainey Hospice House on Friday, November 4, 2022.
Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Ervin Claude Bryant and the late Alice Weldon Bryant.
Carolyn was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She enjoyed watching the Braves play, working puzzles, playing Bingo, camping and loved her family. Carolyn loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a good role model to those around her. She worked hard for her family until she retired from Wamsutta Mills.
Carolyn is survived by her three sons, Grady E. Mayfield, Bobby D Mayfield and Michael E Mayfield (Cathy), and her two daughters Nancy J Dailey and Connie M Sanders (Rodney). Carolyn is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, 25 plus great-grandchildren and 21 plus great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Joyce Smith, Charles Bryant and Larry Bryant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Bob Bryant and two sisters Frances Smith and Cody Seagraves.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in The Tribute Room of The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Rev. Sam Duncan will officiate.
Visitation will be held prior to the service in The Maple Room of The Standard from 2:00-3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate.
