Carlos McDaniel Elkins
May 12, 1945 – November 26, 2022
Carlos McDaniel Elkins, 77, of Anderson, SC, crossed over into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
Born on May 12, 1945, he was one of the eight children of the late Carlos S. Elkins and Ruby I. Elkins.
He grew up in the mountains of West Virginia and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era. Carlos later had a long career in the moving and storage industry prior to his retirement. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith.
Carlos is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Deborah B. Elkins, daughter Dori Falin, son-in-law Charlie Falin, grandchildren Greyson Swift and Joshua Richardson, and precious great-granddaughter Mary Annabella Hill. He is also survived by siblings Robert Elkins, Becky Elkins and Eva Driggers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Elkins, a daughter, Tammy Rene Elkins and five brothers and sisters, Tracey Elkins, Ernest Elkins, Linda E. Jenkins, Opal E. Burdette and Barbara E. Bergen.
A celebration of Carlos’ life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church, 3407 Highway 29 South, Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00pm.
Carlos loved all animals and his gentle nature immediately charmed every animal he came in contact with. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Anderson County Humane Society at 407 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, 29625 or through their website achsonline.com.
