Carey was a son of Noah Leon Garrett and the late Leatrice Epps Garrett.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughters; Stephanie Bailey (Zack) and Danielle Garrett, grandchildren; Braelynn Garrett, Reese Bailey and Cohen Garrett and his sisters; Nell Terry, Tammie Kay, and Patricia Bagwell.
