Bradley Gerald Steed, 58, born to Vernon Gerald and Diana Beth Steed, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in Anderson, South Carolina.
Brad was born on October 28, 1963 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and leaves behind his wife of 10 years, Amber. He was loved by his 3 siblings: Tara Steed, Megan Fay, and Derek Steed, and their families. He also found great joy being surrounded by his loving extended family.
He will always be remembered for his gentleness, kindness, and generosity of time and resources. Brad loved the Trinity United Methodist Church (Anderson, SC) Youth Group, where he volunteered. He wore a bracelet with the word “Inspire” on it and he believed that the youth inspired him way more than he could ever inspire them.
He loved football season, New Mexico, reminders from Kay when it was National Cheesecake Day, and KJ’s pepperoni lasagna shared with his family in Charlotte every year.
An outdoor celebration of his life will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the home he shared with Amber, 305 Clearview Drive, Anderson, SC 29625.
Brad had a terminal brain disorder called Frontal Temporal Deterioration, which is untreatable and commonly effects a younger population. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable contributions be made to FTD research funding in memory of Bradley Steed through the Brain Support Network, PO Box 7264, Menlo Park, CA 94026, www.brainsupportnetwork.org.
