Obituary

(BENNIE SUE WALKER) Bennie Sue Walker, wife of Donnie Walker, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 after a long and hard battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the daughter of the late Reece and Bertha Phillips Partain of Iva, SC. Bennie Sue was preceded in death by her twin sister, Betty Lou Hanks, and brothers, John O. and Charles Ray Partain. In addition to her husband of 59 years and two months, she is survived by a son, Mark Walker (wife Heidi) of Lady’s Island, SC and a daughter Lisa Schaper (husband Clete) of Whispering Pines, NC, a sister, Elaine Smith and brothers David Partain and Ronnie Partain. Five grandchildren, who call her “BeBe,” include Jennie Stills (husband Nick), Zach Walker (wife Sarah), Lilianne Burnett (husband Reece), Wilson Schaper and Russell Schaper. She has four great grandchildren, with one on the way.

Born October 14, 1938 in Anderson, SC, Bennie Sue and Donnie lived in Anderson County since birth.
