Obituary for Anna McDonald

Anna McDonald
March 21, 1970 - April 28, 2021

Beloved daughter and friend, Anna McDonald, 51, died Wednesday April 28, 2021 at her mother’s home in Anderson, SC, due to complications of MS. Anna was a Clemson graduate and enjoyed a diverse career as a project manager with several international manufacturing companies in Georgia.

Anna is the daughter of Ann Temple Kesler Robinson and the late Gary Kesler, predeceased by her grandparents Walker and Sarah Temple, and Herschel and Ovis Kesler. In addition to her mother, Anna is survived by her brother Kyle Kesler and his family: Anna’s sister-in-law Angie and nieces Lauren and Karlee; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved kitty companions, Oscar and Koji.

Anna had a profound sense of empathy and cared deeply about animals, people, nature, kindness, and the peaceful way. She was principled, a thoughtful realist, saw the sacred in others, and didn’t miss a detail, especially when it might be funny. Anna had drive and stamina: she was a bodybuilder, a hiker, a gardener; she made things happen. She was resilient, patient, and compassionate. To the end, her natural beauty lit up the room and her smile was a gift to all in her presence.

Anna is at peace. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
