Alvin Whitworth

Alvin Grady Whitworth, 73, of Anderson, SC passed away on January 27,2021 due to Covid 19.
Alvin was the son of the late Charles R Whitworth and the late Ruth Pelfrey Whitworth.
In addition to his parents he was proceeded by death by his sister Nelly Maddox and brother Marshall Whitworth.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristy Whitworth and son, Alan Whitworth, his brothers; Charles Whitworth and George Whitworth, his sister, Formelia Gilstrap and his nine grandchildren.
Alvin was a big fan of Vern Gosdin and love to sing his music. He had a passion for baseball and loved to box at the old Equinox Mill Gym. They called him the the "Golden Glove"
Alvin enjoyed all those things but more than anything he loved his family and grandchildren.
One thing that could be said about Alvin is that when he was your friend he was a friend for life and when he loved he loved with his whole heart.
I'll be there
There was no time to say goodbye
But this I ask- please do not cry
Remember me as you think best
The happy time- forget the rest.
Look for me and I'll be there and you will find me everywhere.
In the gentle touch of a breeze that cools the skin or swirls the leaves.
On sunny days under the skies of blue

When you hear the heart of Country Music (Vern Gosdin), A baseball flying through the air or a boxing fight on TV
